June 20, 2021 Mark 4:35-41 Jesus Stills a Storm

This week we discuss Jesus’ stilling the storm as Mark frames it in comparison with Matthew and Luke. In Mark’s Gospel, the focus is on yet another demonstration of Jesus as the one who has the authority to enact the kingdom of God. We discuss the Reformers’ interpretations regarding the faith of the Apostles, and then we conclude with an examination of the theology behind the notion that “Jesus stills the storms of life”
